A UK-based business needed a product that could go beyond basic CV formatting checks. ReworkCV gives users a free rule-based CV review, with deeper AI-powered analysis available through Stripe credit purchases. Users can then move from feedback into a guided CV rewriting workflow and use the improved CV to prepare for realistic mock interviews.
The challenge
Job seekers often rely on separate tools for CV reviews, rewriting support, and interview preparation. These tools rarely connect the different stages of the job-search process into a single workflow. The client needed a product that could assess a CV, identify areas for improvement, guide users through strengthening weaker sections, and then use that information to support realistic interview preparation.
What we built
Clywell built ReworkCV as a full-stack application using Next.js, with production deployment on Vercel and payments handled through Stripe. Users can upload CVs in PDF or Word format and receive an immediate rule-based review at no cost. Users who require deeper analysis can purchase credits through Stripe to unlock AI-powered scoring and detailed feedback. The platform also provides a guided CV rewriting workflow. When users choose to improve their CV, the system asks targeted follow-up questions about weaker sections and uses their responses to generate a stronger draft. The interview-preparation workflow extends the same experience beyond the CV. Users can generate mock interview questions using their CV alone or in combination with a job description, answer questions individually, and receive question-by-question feedback on their recorded responses.
The outcome
ReworkCV brings CV assessment, paid AI guidance, guided rewriting, and mock interview preparation into a single career-support workflow. For the client, the platform provides a structured UK-focused career-tech product with a credit-based monetisation model, allowing users to access deeper AI functionality while keeping the initial CV review accessible through a free rule-based experience.
